Ian co-founded Morgan & Wolfe in the late 2000's after a successful engineering career in enterprise technologies in banking, finance, higher education, technology training, global retail and airline sectors. For example Ian drove the design for the global directory service for Cathay Pacific Airways and led the deployment for all US airports. He helped M&W become a leading Microsoft Gold Partner, Government Supplier; an early adopter of cloud technologies and an award-winning fast track partner of Microsoft USA for cloud collaboration solutions.
Ian developed the Gartner-listed business cloud framework, Salem, which went on to become a highly successful global business framework certification programme used by major organisations and institutions worldwide. Today Ian continues to drive forward innovation and recently developed a knowledge management solution for one of the world's leading wealth management banks. His wealth of experience and knowledge in business-orientated digital solutions for the cloud continues to drive success for our clients.

Ian has been a highly-successful director of digital programmes since the early 2000's and has led many multi million pound programmes to success. The major vendor case studies speak for themselves as does the creation of a Microsoft gold partner company from scratch. Working with some of the leading global brands worldwide, Ian has assisted organisations in leveraging the correct approach to digital transformation, 3rd party vendor selection and management, the building of international multi disciplinary teams, budget control, C-level executive briefings and stakeholder management in complex environments. Ian can draw on a wide range of industry testimonials on his programme delivery and product management and continues to assist new digital clients on their digital journeys.

Being a product owner in the digital collaboration space, Ian has spent two decades as a specialist in SharePoint and cloud based content and collaboration and productivity tools. Ian has designed and overseen the development, deployment and to-market strategies for a range of innovative digital solutions including CBC, a complete enterprise-class shrink-wrapped digital workplace solution and the Read and Comply digital compliance solution by M&W. Ian is a world leader in digital frameworks and developed one of the very first cohesive, agnostic business-orientated modular frameworks that went on to become a global certification in the 2010's. Ian has successfully presented to hundreds of major organisation worldwide, taking them through the key benefits, sequence and logic of a modular digital framework approach. This has led to client wins by Microsoft and other vendors and their partners and has driven real value from multi-million dollar digital investments for many international organisations. Placing people and business value at the heart of any digital strategy is the key mantra that Ian works to.
Digital Strategy & Authorship
Ian has published two definitive books on digital collaboration technology governance and on search engine optimization for Microsoft. He wrote the Microsoft Outlook User Guide used by a number of major universities including UCLA in the early 2000's. Ian went on to write strategy articles for Microsoft's the Record Magazine on the Microsoft cloud in the 2010's as well as complete Practitioner and Master Practitioner guides used by thousands of digital collaboration strategy consultants during this period. In particular, Ian defined the entire Salem framework and logic that continues to be used today in defining digital frameworks for the cloud, platform as a service model, sustainable development goals and may other topics. Gartner recognised these digital strategy innovations in 2012 by listing Ian's work as a top ten innovation in western Europe and North America.
Certifications & Technical
Throughout the 1990's Ian gathered more than 40 technical Novell engineering and instructor certifications as well as ones by Microsoft and Compaq, In the 2000's this continued with Prince 2 and ITIL added to the portfolio. Ian developed a complete set of digital framework practitioner awards before adding further Microsoft sales certifications in the 2010's as part of building the M&W Microsoft Gold partner practice.
Ian spent many years managing enterprise class network deployments, e-directory designs and installations. In the 2000's Ian has directly designed, built and configured many Microsoft cloud solutions as well as well over 100 client digital marketing , audio and video solutions, which he continues to do today.
Training & Presenting
Ian was a specialist speaker on digital collaboration throughout the 2000's and was a guest speaker at the Microsoft European Leadership Conference in Barcelona and Copenhagen before becoming a keynote speaker on digital technology strategy for UCISA and Ovum. Ian's extensive practitioner training guides have been utilized by thousands of consultants worldwide. Most recently Ian trained numerous business and technology stakeholders for a global bank on his cloud-driven digital knowledge solution used over 100,000 people.
